The place is also called the "Floating Palace"
The lavish palace complex here a vast pool bordered by small pavilions with a massive stained glass and stucco bungalows in the center was completely destroyed by the eruption of Mt Agung and subsequent earthquakes. Little else but a few sculptures and portals remain, though there are plans afoot to restore the palace to its original condition as a tourist attraction.
